Hayes & Yeading's opening pre-season fixture saw a gaggle of trialists on both sides and therefore anything resembling a match report is pretty academic. United did however triumph with three goals against a late strike from the visitors. The opener was an excellent far post header from centre-back Jerry Wiltshire and the second a well executed Hanni Berchiche penalty on the stroke of half-time which saw United go in at the break 2-0 to the good. A third came five minutes into the second half with a neat finish inside the box from Florian Envoudou Ada while the visiting trialists netted a late consolation, again with a fine far post header.
