A late strike from National Leaguers Barnet saw Hayes & Yeading slip out of this season's Middlesex Senior Cup after a Hassan Jalloh penalty had pulled Paul Hughes' side level in the second half.
With United giving a full run out to several recent substitutes and those returning from injury, the National League side started with no fewer than five who also started their recent win over Aldershot Town in the top tier.
The first opening of the game went the way of the home side after just three minutes when Omar Rowe picked out Tyler Goodrham on the left side, he cut inside of his marker but his shot was too high to trouble James Callan in the Barnet goal.
Soon after Ryan De Havilland for the Bees tried his luck from 20 yards but his effort went wide of the target without troubling the returning Ravan Constable in the United goal.
With 25 minutes on the watch the Bees opened the scoring as a loose United pass outside their own box was pounced upon by Serhat Tasdemir and he fired past Constable into the corner of the United net.
Shortly after United were forced into a change when Shaquiile Hippolyte-Patrick was forcibly sent into the pitchside railings with referee Smith taking no action against the offender much to the dismay of the United players and bench, and after lenghty treatment he was not able to return and Hassan Jalloh came on to replace the injured front runner.
Just prior to the break Goodrham sent Rowe forwards before receiving a return pass only for his shot from the edge of the box to dip just over the Bees goal and then in stoppage time a low centre from the left saw two Barnet defenders kick air with the ball being collected by Jalloh who saw his effort blocked away and United went in a goal adrift at the half time interval.
A change at the break saw Goodrham being rested for the upcoming games with impressive youngster Romey Meoded coming on in his place.
The Bees should probably have had a second in the 54th minute when Rob Hall collected the ball to the right inside the United box, he pulled the ball back from the bye-line to De Havilland but he fired over from six yards out.
United got a deserved equaliser on 70 minutes, Dinesh Gillela was tripped as he moved into the Bees area and referee Smith pointed straight to the spot. Jalloh stepped up to beat Callan from twelve yards and we were all square at 1-1.
With eight minutes to play Rowe received a pass in from the right and turned his marker only for his shot to be blocked and just three minutes later the match was won by the visitors, Callan played a free-kick into the box from halfway with Mason Bloomfield getting to the ball before Constable and the slightest of touches from the strikers head saw the ball go past Constable and bounce into the United net just inside the far post.
