HYUFC Hayes & Yeading Utd 7
Woodley United 0

A stunning six goal haul from Ismael Ehui lit up this pre season friendly against Woodley United as Hayes and Yeading were made to be patient by their Hellenic League visitors before running riot in the second half.

The first half saw the hosts do most of the pressing without creating much by way of goal scoring opportunities.
Twice, wicked low centres from Jhai Dhillon just evaded the on rushing Dylan Kearney. Midfielders, Tyrell Miller-Rodney and Ike Robertson both put the ball in the net in this period too, but from offside positions.

Woodley's best chance came early on when Charlie Crowley rushed out to narrow the angle as the forward broke the offside trap, sending him out wide. The low centre was intercepted at full stretch by Colin Mugoya, preventing the supporting attacker from rolling the ball into the empty net for a certain goal.

The best chance of the half fell to Cole Brown, who burst clear on the half hour mark but his low drive was well blocked by the Woodley keeper's legs. Soon after that, the visiting keeper pulled off a remarkable double save when Kearney attempted to convert Brown's low centre from right in front of goal only to be twice thwarted by his opponent's alert reactions.

As the half drew to a close, Evander Lopes advanced menacingly from midfield and unleashed a curling shot from the edge of the area which a flailing leg from the centre half deflected wide.

Manager Tristan Lewis sent on three substitutes at half time, including brothers Ismael and Joakim Ehui, and the latter created the first goal for the former on 53 minutes with a looping cross from the left which hit the post and rolled in front of goal invitingly for the tap in.

After a smart save from Lopes whose rising shot was parried away by a diving Woodley keeper, United struck again on 56 minutes as Joakim Ehui slid the ball through for Richmond Kissi who broke clear and finished smartly.

Crowley was on hand to deny Woodley's centre forward soon afterwards, smothering his low shot. However, after a spell of significant United pressure, Ishmael Ehui netted his second with a left footed rising shot to the top corner from the edge of the area.

The same player got three more goals on 75, 77 and 78 minutes as he first finished fiercely from another incisive pass from his brother, then tapped in a lay off, before holding off a defender and slotting home his fifth. On 82 minutes, his sixth arrived with a low drilled shot from 15 yards through a crowded box.

It would be churlish of him to rue a great chance to get his seventh as he latched onto Dhillon's cross but diverted the ball just wide. Nevertheless, it was an impressive cameo which he will no doubt be proud of.
