Congratulations to Andrea D'Anna and his United under 18 side who progressed to the semi-finals of the Middlesex FA Jeff Ritson Senior Youth Cup yesterday evening, winning 3-2 at Uxbridge with goals from Hikram Olaiya and a brace from Tyrese Bailey.

In the semi-finals United will face one of the following, Cockfosters, Hanwell Town or Hampton & RB/Brook House.

With great sadness

The Club have today been advised of the very sad passing yesterday of long time supporter John Lipscombe at the age of 88.

John was a fervent Hayes FC and Hayes & Yeading supporter both home and away until poor health in recent years kept him away from his beloved team.

John was a former Vice-President of Hayes FC and regularly sponsored players at both the old club and here at Hayes & Yeading United.

On behalf of the Club I would like to offer our sincere condolences to all of John's family and friends and will advise funeral details once known.

Salisbury away Postponed + New date

With the overnight temperatures still below zero, an early inspection at the RayMac Stadium in Salisbury has deemed that with the pitch as frozen as it already is there is no chance of our game tomorrow going ahead and therefore the match at Salisbury has been postponed.

Subject to the usual League approval this fixture will now take place on Tuesday 21st March.

Despite us supposedly about to reach the end of the freezing weather for now, the pitch at the SKYex remains frozen currently and this afternoons match against Bracknell Town has therefore been postponed.

Hayes & Yeading win Club of the Month

Hayes & Yeading United were the recipients of the December 2022 PST Awards Club of the Month award for the Southern Premier South with Paul Hughes' side as we know winning all of their league games without conceeding a goal.

Congratulations to Paul and his backroom staff and the United side for a run that pushed United back up towards the play-off places.

Southall Off plus New Date

Tonights Middlesex Senior Cup tie against Southall at the SKYex has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

In accordance with County Cup ties taking precedence over League games, this will now take place on Tuesday 17th January which subsequently means our visit to Tiverton scheduled for the following night will once again have to be rearranged.

Squad Update

Manager Paul Hughes has this week secured the services of experienced 'keeper Simon Grant and midfielder Jean-Baptiste Fischer from Bracknell Town and Oxford City respectively while the loan of Stan Flaherty from Queens Park Rangers has also been extended by a further month.
