Hayes & Yeading United Football Club

RIP Bob 'Tubby' Thompson

All at the club were sad to hear this week of the death of Bob ' Tubby' Thompson. A Yeading stalwart for decades and a regular on the terraces and post-match in the bar following the merger. His good humour and stories will be much missed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this sad time.

His funeral will take place at Breakspear Crematorium, Ruislip on Wednesday 5th July at 11:15am, followed by a celebration of his life at the Hayes & Harlington Conservative Club, Church Road.

Family flowers only with any financial donations to be split between Cancer Research UK and the Hayes Cottage Hospital, where he spent his final few weeks.

Bob will have wanted gatherers to wear what they want, although a cheeky club scarf would have made him smile.
