Hayes & Yeading United Football Club

The club are delighted to announce the return of Ritchie Hanlon as part of Paul Hughes’ management team, as the club looks to embark on the forthcoming Southern League Premier South season.

Ritchie has been appointed as assistant manager alongside Peter Holmes to add to the existing coaching setup which sees Clark Jenner continue as First Team Coach and Delroy Preddie as Goalkeeping Coach.

Manager Paul Hughes said “One of the strengths from last season was the unity in the management team. We’re all good friends and have a healthy respect for each other’s opinions.

Ritchie’s return to the dugout alongside me will only enhance that spirit. He’s a great friend, a brilliant coach and a good human-being. We all love him and we’ve spoken regularly since he had to depart the club 2 years ago. He’ll bring a big personality and huge energy to the dressing room alongside a very strong work ethic that epitomises who we are.

I’m really excited to have him onboard and he will contribute hugely to what we hope is another successful season at Hayes & Yeading United FC.”

As promised, the club have today announced the first dozen players to be signed up for the new Evo-Stik South Premier South campaign.

We formally welcome back Toby Little, Jack Smith, Connor Toomey, Nathan Webb, Mitchal Gough and Elliot Benyon while Matt Hall returns to United for a second spell.

New faces have also arrived and we welcome Ismail Yakubu, Ahmed Abdulla, Lee Flavin, Karl Cunningham and James Clark to the SKYex ahead of the commencement of pre-season.

Following United's excellent 2018/19 campaign, Manager Paul Hughes has today been crowned the Bostik South Central Manager of the Season while Scott Bridges has been named Bostik South Central Player of the Season at the annual Isthmian League presentation dinner.

The South Central Managers have also picked their "team of the season" which sees no fewer than five United players included in the shape of Toby Little, Liam McDevitt, Ed Asafu-Adjaye, Scott Bridges and Lee Barney.

Congratulations to Paul and Scott on their well deserved individual honours and to all of the squad and backroom staff for the heights that were reached last season.
